What A Road We Travel

Another poem I wrote, long ago, with the wind…

“What A Road We Travel”  first appeared on-line, here on this blog, on December 22, 2009.  It is a favorite of readers and of mine too. In terms of print journals, it  was published first in SILVER WINGS in 1995.

Please see the 12/22/09 post for all credits.

I’m taking some time to review the blog.  This is a great learning experience.  Thank you!

WHAT A ROAD WE TRAVEL

What a road we travel
To figure out the
Simplest things and
Return to where we
Knew we belonged
All along

To build friendships
With those whose arms
Are true, all-accepting
And strong

To raise our arms to Heaven
Dig our toes in sand, and
Throw back our heads to
The wind

What a road, what a road
We travel to figure out
The simplest things and
Return to where we
Knew we belonged
All along.
