late afternoon sun
shines into my little
study longer
another spring
is given
a new river of
poems begins to flow
as I grow older
still reading by natural light
late afternoon sun

Thank you!
It is fine with me for others to reblog any of my poems–an honor.

Reading your evocative poem made the 1970s song, *Afternoon Delight,* start floating through my mind…

Hi Barbara, Some music came to me today too. I stepped into the yard and heard spring birdsongs again. I thought, “never too old for this to be brand new…”

Dear Labyrinth-Living, That phrase was surely a gift! There are some beautiful smaller rivers and creeks in this area.
