The wind picks up
evergreens sway
winter is near
and I am ready
The wind picks up
flows through
fields with dry corn
nature’s solitude
The wind picks up
what we see
what we don’t see
yet believe

Lovely imagery in your poem! I love how the evergreen boughs sway with the wind. We can see them through many of our windows, as we drink hot tea under wool blankets…

Very nicely done, Ellen. I was thinking of winter’s chill, but then the warmth of the Spirit showed up. 🙂
