So gentle and such a blessing this post is. You have me going through my day counting my blessings and joys too . . .even if they are quite different from someone else’s. God bless you, Ellen!

It so helps to write the blessings down, the things that make us smile. I do it each day in my journal. Each day the things I am thankful for. It is important to me.

Thank you. When I began again with my journal, it was interesting to reread old journals and rediscover blessings – and also the wonderful way some things repeat. I love the early hours. There are some things that are constants through many changes.

Lovely illustrations! So, Ellen: What’s the goal — to document 500 blessings? And then? How does that get you to one thousand gifts? Just check out site but I think I’m missing something.

Thank you. I began writing posts about my gratitude journal in December 2012, after reading Ann Voskamp’s book, One Thousand Gifts. Every so often I share some of my journal blessings here. The blog and the journal seem to work together.
500 blessings means I’ve reached the half-way point towards the goal of one thousand blessings (gifts) – writing them down.
The link for Ann’s site is http://onethousandgifts.com.
Thanks again, Ellen
