How well I remember the excitement of the first robin. And I miss their songs. In fact, I found an hour-long youtube video that’s actually nothing but robins singing. It makes a nice accompaniment to work at the computer.

In central Ohio Robin’s are pretty much a year round resident. Growing up in Michigan that was not the case and they were always an exciting harbinger of spring.

My first robin of this season perched on the bare branch of the red oak tree. I watched from the kitchen window, amazed and thrilled.
