Peonies are so vulnerable to heavy rain. This morning my peonies are all leaning over! I try to support them with tomato cages.

Lush and lovely! Did I tell you about the time pronounced Cotoneaster — in front of a bunch of mater gardeners – as “Cotton Easter”? I was so sure of myself, too. One of them, without cracking a smile, firmly corrected me: “That’s Cotone Aster”, she said. Well, wasn’t I told, eh?

Good morning Cynthia, I always said Cotton Easter too, and still say this – though I am not a professional gardener! I like thinking about Easter.
