I came across this fall poem from October 5, 2014.
lilac bushes
with fading leaves
in fall sun
beautiful today
with no worries
about whether or not
they will bloom
again
Perhaps a meditation on creativity over many years . . . as I have experienced both the fallow and fruitful years.
These are a few more poems inspired by lilacs.
different shapes
of the rose bush
and lilacs in the yard
they grew towards
the light
I wonder
what today’s poem may be
lilacs in the wind
knowing
they cannot stay
but will return
lilacs
