I had a note to mail, and Karl walked with me to the mailbox at the end of the road. Then we walked on another road. I am still weaing my winter coat with big pockets. Karl wears a Spring jacket and gloves. We both put an extra face mask in our pockets. We have face masks in the car and I carry two in my purse. Easy to take care. Sunglasses outside always, as directed by my eye doctor. We both are fully vaccinated.
We saw ferns growing through gravel by the side of the road and in gardens, hyacinths, and daffodils. Beautiful forsythia. A few people outside to work or go for a walk too.
Interesting to see seawalls from the perspective of the road, and how the work took place. Everyone together.
Bright Spring day. No hurry for warmer weather. As Karl would say, Lake Michigan creates a “microclimate.” Cool Springs, short Summers, warm Autumns, and long Winters (for blogs and books).
Take good care. Be safe and well. Karl and I often say, we have made it this far with COVID-19, and we are going to continue on a good health path.
The lake levels are still quite high, and there is no beach. Yet the seawalls are beautiful and protect properties. A new time to continue to learn, in many ways. Grateful.
