Garden Journal Notes

Here are a few examples for March.

early March
snow covers the ground
and it is cold

yet evergreen branches
on tall weathered trees sing
in light morning winds

and tell a different story

March 3, 2016

early Spring
in the yard
near the house
daylilies begin
to grow

March 22, 2019

early morning
and wondering
how best to work
Karl calls to me –
first robin in the yard

March 22, 2021

small snowdrops
continue to bloom
remembrance

March 28, 2021

Lent begins
and Spring soon
love, hope
and prayers

“Lent begins” is a new poem yesterday at Short Holiday Poems (large print version).

  1. Robins don’t seem to leave here anymore… always a resident flock around. Migrants are coming through earlier every year… today there must have been at least 4 dozen in the yard!
