Garden Colors

This morning I saw a red cardinal and the yellow forsythia by the garage. This afternoon, the cardinal visited the birch tree branch outside my study window.

colors change
throughout the day

blue jays on branches
in the lilac bush

red cardinal in evergreens

almost every day
I wonder what poems
may appear
what I may write

interesting what may
catch my attention

who or what says

“I am the poem this day”

I only know what touches
my heart and soul . . .

The Psalms and Hope

As I read through the Psalms for my series at Poems From Psalms And Nature, I remember verses that are familiar.

Two examples:

They go from strength to strength . . .

From Psalm 84: 7 – Post for Psalm 84

. . . all my springs are in thee.

From Psalm 87: 7 – Post for Psalm 87

Please visit Poems From Psalms And Nature if you wish to read or view more posts. I select a variety of images for the posts.

Seasons

sometimes
it is enough
to simply hold
one of my
well-worn Bibles
and thank God
and then reread
a Psalm I’ve read
more times than
I know and still
discover something
new

We stopped by Kiwanis Park yesterday, and were able to walk on a sidewalk across from the river. Karl took these photos last March.
