My Soul … As A Weaned Child Psalm 131

Today is the 8th anniversary of my mother’s passing.  I am full of memories, from all the years we had together on this blessed earth.  We shall meet again.  Love endures.

PSALM 131: 1-2 (KJV)

Lord, my heart is not haughty,

nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I

exercise myself in great matters,

or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted

myself, as a child that is weaned of

his mother: my soul is even as a

weaned child.

Mother’s Day in May: A Remembrance with Psalm 131: 1-2 (KJV)

My mom is in Heaven. During the caregiving years, our friendship grew in a new way:  my mother in her 80s and me in my 40s.    Many have similar stories…

By God’s grace, following her passing in 2004,  a new chapter has grown and is growing.  It is different and beautiful in its own way.

Mom loved the King James Version of the Bible.

The following seems to fit with this Post.

LORD, my heart is not haughty,

nor mine eyes lofty:

neither do I exercise myself in great matters,

or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself,

as a child that is weaned of his mother:

my soul is even as a weaned child.

Psalm 131: 1-2 (KJV)

“Charity Never Faileth” 1 Corinthians 13

And now
abideth

faith,

hope,

charity,

these three;

but the greatest
of these

is charity.

The title of this post is from 1 Corinthians 13: 8.  The above verse is quoted from 1 Corinthians 13:13.  King James Version of the Holy Bible, which is in the Public Domain.   I rearranged the words in this presentation.
