Memorial Day 2022
Yesterday, we went to a few places and noted work on ash tree removal in our area. Good to see, so the dying and dead trees do not fall on power lines, roads, and properties. We saw crocuses in bloom. Soon there will be more green in the landscape. I love when the trees first begin to have leaves, and later tiny rows of corn growing perfectly in many fields. The landscape will heal from the loss of the trees, because of the Emerald Ash Borer.

This year, Easter And Spring Poetry reached 500 Followers. The posts are new, and I also reprint content in new ways. An old haiku with vintage art, or a new photo – and the post is new.
I pray the Psalms for peace. I look at my blog and am grateful for readers from many countries. And posts from many countries. My father and others in our families were/are veterans. In 1978, I went to Poland with my father. This was for almost a month, with a formal group from UW-Milwaukee. For new readers, and all readers, one of our sites is POEMS FROM PSALMS AND NATURE. It amazes me, through decades of life so far, how the Psalms offer hope. When I am overwhelmed, this practice of contemplative prayer is a source of strength.
What is your favorite quote and why?
God be merciful unto us, and bless us;
and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
That thy way may be known upon earth,
thy saving health among all nations.
Psalm 67: 1 – 2
“thy saving health among all nations”
