frames the view near and far
light, trees, birds, sky
weather and seasons
three windows
in my small study
how the light falls
on wood, art, walls

old photos
on my desk —
bleeding hearts in bloom
seasons repeat
we tell the stories
we are given
more memories
sometimes than
my heart can hold
I select one or two
write a poem
reading a book
on a rainy day
peace in my heart
sometimes we know
a scene so well
we can see and hear
with our hearts
seawall seasons
