Ash Trees and Hosta Plants
With many ash trees lost in our area, the landscape will take time to recover and learn a new beauty. I have written about the loss of our ash tree, and the new beauty with the way hosta plants grow around the tree stump.

Short Poems: Late Winter and Early Spring
Snow in the gardens today. These are poems from this time of year here in Wisconsin.
blue sky
with cotton clouds
snowdrops
snow after snowdrops
and a glimpse of Spring
Wisconsin gardens
daffodils bloom first
west of our great lake
and plants grow here too
country graves
silk flowers bloom
by the stones
colder Spring
yet the snowdrops
twice as many
hope shines
on the hillside
a few daffodils
