Karl and I go to our Town of Holland Recycling Center every few weeks. I love the sense of community. One person’s trash becomes another person’s treasure. Parts are collected and become new products. Neighbors see one another and the nice people who run things there.
I like to think of how my old shredded journals, for example, are then processed into new paper, for new projects of all kinds. Fewer trees cut down. I also value the renewed wood in our home, from when our house was first built in the 1940s. This wood feels alive to me too.
