September . . .
ivy house plant
and birch tree
share the same
afternoon sun
Grateful there are plants that can live in the house too.

morning grey . . .
yellow leaf falls
and rests
on a branch
of green
a few leaves
drift from the
birch tree
and reach the
last of the lilies
reminding me
to love each day
one gold leaf
on the birch tree
today
February has its own character–one day it seems winter will last a long time, and another day spring seems so near. I’m making a lot of meals with vegetables, fresh and frozen. I cook a batch of brown rice to last a few days and bake potatoes, early in the morning.
today a storm
yet yesterday the light
on a birch tree branch
spoke volumes to me
