Christmas

cold country night
two deer in the front yard
graze in starlight

Christmas night sky
becomes sunrise
tree branches
covered with ice
glisten in the sun

new year
on the horizon
simple lines
of barns and trees
in the fog

Grateful for our many years here, a simple day of rest and joy.

Grateful for all the local businesses in our general area and all they add to our community. For all who help others – the kind words, the door held open by someone I do not know, the caregivers and those who need the care, the art, gardens, friends with WordPress. The cooks and those who serve in the wonderful restaurants. So many people.
