May begins

May begins, and the snowdrops beauty of April will grow and change. April could be called “snowdrops” here. So I begin this post with one of Karl’s photos from April.

small flowers

they may be
overlooked by some
yet we know
where they bloom

The gardens are good teachers.

Tree Poems

Poems from my archives, to follow my post Bloganuary prompt for January 30, 2022.

tree farm
young trees grow
alongside the old

grey clouds
and Norway Spruce
tree in the wind
a restful view
Sunday morning

tree branches
bowed to the ground
seemingly half-broken
covered with new leaves
my notebook of prayers

beginning
in the area
where we had
to take a tree down
new peony leaves

many Springs
yellow primroses
near an old tree
