he scattereth the hoarfrost
like ashes.

Thank you to GT Graphics in Sheboygan, Wisconsin for a beautiful second printing of our large print chapbook. Karl and I created this book from the posts at my site, Quiet Christmas Poetry

Christmas Poems

almost Christmas
through the evergreens
clear blue sky

reading one page
at a time
of this book and that
in gentle wind

and humility

And the Word
was made flesh,
and dwelt among us . . .
full of grace
and truth.

From John 1:14 (KJV)

My poems and the Bible verse are from Quiet Christmas Poetry, which is both a site and a large print chapbook.

For this post, I played with the new Gutenberg editor. I like the new editor.

Karl took the photo of the winter Lake Michigan beach, which became the cover art for our Christmas book.

GT Graphics in Sheboygan, Wisconsin printed Quiet Christmas Poetry.

Copies can be ordered from the books page at Time Of Singing. All proceeds benefit this poetry journal.

Quiet Christmas Poetry: Short Poems

Christmas CDs
playing with the volume low
in the fields
the beauty of harvested
corn in snow

Sunday morning
all the lovely voices
singing Silent Night

Northern sun
shines on frozen beach
still the days grow shorter
shadow of poinsettia
on the wall

wind freeing the snow
from evergreen branches

He giveth snow
like wool:
he scattereth the hoarfrost
like ashes.

Psalm 147: 16 (KJV)

placing the new calendar
on the wall
all the new spaces
without words
God’s time

The poems may all be read online at our Quiet Christmas Poetry site.

There is information about the large print book version, and I reprinted a short review by Lora Homan Zill, from Time Of Singing (Fall, 2015).

Thank you

Quiet Christmas Poetry

This year I wrote a new post for our large print chapbook, Quiet Christmas Poetry.  Karl and I created the book from the Christmas site in 2014.  The book was printed by GT Graphics in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

We received good feedback.  All proceeds are for the print journal, Time Of Singing, edited by Lora Homan Zill.  Copies are for sale at the TOS books page.

I’ve written posts to share a picture of the cover and other information.  Then the posts that became the book follow, if you wish to visit Quiet Christmas Poetry.
