small gifts

cup from a thrift store
on my grandmother’s
straw chest
near the window
fills with light

summer sun
thrift store bowl painted
with leaves and fruit

strawberries
on tiny vase
from a thrift store
God’s special gift
for me today

The tiny vase was from Bethesda Thrift Shop in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

light

old garage
in morning light
view from kitchen window

today

clouds and yet
enough light
to fill a jam jar
with the last
of the carnations

from my archives
