Bible Verses and Photos

These are a few of the verses from the Bible that I quoted this year.

For a thousand years in thy sight
are but as yesterday
when it is past,
and as a watch in the night.

Psalm 90: 4 (KJV)

Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11: 28 (KJV)

A new commandment I give unto you,
that ye love one another;
as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.

John 13: 34 (KJV)

Yet the Lord will command
his lovingkindness in the daytime,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of m
y life.

Psalm 42: 8 (KJV)

Easter lilies

We were at Menards in Sheboygan. We bought a lily that is just beginning to bloom. Now it lives by a window, and I gave it some water. The Christmas poinsettia from Mentink’s Piggly Wiggly is still lovely, and seems to be growing. We will take pictures for the blog on a sunny day, as the lily blooms. Good to bring it home in good shape. All the lilies and other plants looked nice. Some hardy Spring perennials were outside.

This is another photo by Karl from Mauthe Lake in Fond du Lac County yesterday. Still wearing my winter coat and walked outside there a short time! We see a few people on our walks outside. Yesterday, we also saw some people at the park and ash trees that needed to be cut down. Lots of work in progress. New road work too, just beginning.

Clouds

On July 31, 2018, Karl and I went to the Long Lake Recreation Area, in the Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit.  We saw reflections of clouds in the water.  Karl took these beautiful and interesting photos.

Trees

We lost most of our ash tree in the recent storm.  Karl has been taking care of the wood.  We’ll leave part of the tree stump and see what happens.  Hosta surround the stump, which may become a place for a large planter.  We have also seen new growth from fallen trees, over time.  I will watch and learn more.

Karl took this peaceful photo at the Parnell Tower Trail park in the Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit.  We stopped by last Sunday, and hope to return to walk the trail.
