lilac bushes

lilac bushes
with fading leaves
in Fall sun

beautiful today

with no worries
about whether or not
they will bloom

again

Poem from October 2014 – times I can create, times I need to rest and be patient. Good care, one day at a time.

early June morning

early June morning
pelicans fly over the water
a deer walks through the yard

new carnations
in an old glass vase
by the window

poinsettia and lily plants
placed by the back patio door
only yesterday
and still in the house

new green
on evergreen branches
an image loved for years
the small new growth

and lilacs bloom

garden notes

birch tree branch
outside my study
window

many new leaves
and another part
of the branch
that seems gone
yet visited by a bird
this morning

lilacs almost in bloom
and violets by the door
