Study Poems and Seasons – 2

This post continues from Small Study Poems and Seasons – 1.

For this post, I reviewed my Archives from September 2020 – December 2020.

window in my study
trees and sky
through the seasons
and years

the view changes
and yet the same
more to learn
and a place to read
and rest

September 30, 2020

sun and wind
some gold leaves stay
on the tree branch

October 31, 2020

all a day can hold
sun and shadows
on the wood window frame
above my desk
in my small study

November 22, 2020

new light
in my study
waterfall

light
from
a small
window
shines
down
on wall art

From November 23, 2020

late December
sky and snow on trees
the same color

branches outside
my window grow
in different ways
people we hear from
once a year

From December 29, 2020

God be merciful unto us, and bless us;
and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

That thy way may be known upon earth,
thy saving health among all nations.

Psalm 67: 1 – 2 (KJV)

Thank you

Grateful for Community

The Sheboygan County Wisconsin site has current and important information about Coronavirus (COVID-19). We follow the data at the Sheboygan County Coronavirus Case Dashboard.

So often I think of my parents and the history they lived through. We are all living through COVID-19 history. We wear our face masks, practice social distance, wash our hands often, etc. We take care of one another and ourselves. Our common story, one day at a time.

Future posts will feature the libraries in our area. I am always so grateful for libraries.

Thank YOU for your posts from many places. You add so much to my days.

I am creating a lot at home, since I am here most of the time. I can see this in my haiku. Recent posts are examples. I am calling these “Study Poems.”

Thank you and take good care.

Saturday

I take a break
from the news
and all the stories
that matter so much

and am blessed
by the sight
of tomatoes
in an old bowl

kitchen counter sun

April Poems

faith kept and grown
when much else could not
the rains arrived
puddles in the fields
how beautiful
the rich brown earth

primroses growing
from garden to lawn
deep decades of roots
strengthen my faith
for new dreams

beginning
in the area
where we had
to take a tree down
new peony leaves

Poems are from my archives.
