the early glow

and time with old friends
afternoon sun
shines on leaves
turning gold
golden sun

unconditional love
seagulls
down the beach
silver in the sky
now the light
falls in a new way
in the house
shadows of leaves
on a page of poetry
rain through fog
a few gold leaves
on the birch tree
shine brighter
