Thy statutes have been my songs

evergreen light
Sometimes I think of a few words to describe what I see. Today I look at the yard from my study window, and “evergreen light” is what I see. Some wind in the branches and blue sky. Then I may try a few poems.
December sunrise
evergreens in wind
and light
December garden
evergreen light
wind and blue sky

by my study window
reach the earth
leaves fall
by my study window
reach gardens
where primroses,
hosta, and lilies grow

Garden Poems – 4
gold hosta leaves
and sounds of rain
October morning
some water
for the Christmas cactus
new buds grow
October days
and November in sight
frost on the ground
October 2020
all a day can hold
sun and shadows
on the wood window frame
above my desk
in my small study
late afternoon
sky colors and no wind
quiet day
sunset as I write
sky changes
to night
sunrise
for as long
as I can remember
the wonder of books
