pink clouds
span the horizon
seagulls take flight
stretching to read
new books

afternoon light
blue-grey skies
and water

give them a stage
to shine
seagulls

another day
of grace
settling down
towards sunset
seagulls rest on water

losses in life
low setting sun
through branches of trees
now rises again
as birds quietly sing

(Sunset . . . Sunrise from Poems From Psalms And Nature, 2010).

Psalm 1: 3 (KJV) :

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
