Karl took these two photos with his phone last weekend, at Veterans Park in Oostburg, Wisconsin.

Saturday notes

Here is a photo of the cactus I mentioned in my post, February sunroom: We bought a Christmas cactus on sale for half-price, that is just beginning to bloom. We were at Caan’s in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I took the photo yesterday.
This week we went to the Oostburg Public Library, and walked outside by Veterans Park in town.
Yesterday we went to Kohler-Andrae State Park to buy our Annual Vehicle Admission Sticker for our Wisconsin State Park System. These are a few of Karl’s photos from 2019.

Time and Place: Grateful for Parks in Town
Stuart J. Mentink Memorial Park is a small park near the railroad tracks and a business area in Oostburg, Wisconsin. We often reflect upon how thoughtful the growth has been in general over the years.

The post from June 18, 2019 features photos from Stuart J. Mentink Memorial Park in June.

Stuart J. Mentink Memorial Park – July 6, 2019

Parks In Town, the post from July 6, 2019, also includes photos from Veterans Park.

Stuart J. Mentink Memorial Park – August 21, 2019

September Park also has photos from Stuart J. Mentink Memorial Park this year.
I like to think we are adding to local history with some of our posts.

Karl took photos by the small creek at the park. This is a poem I wrote on March 23, 2019.
snow melt in town
some piles of snow
in the park
creek running clear
and can see the stones
at the bottom
blue sky background
for the trees

Creek at Veterans Park

On March 23, 2019, our walk around Veterans Park in Oostburg, Wisconsin inspired this poem:
snow melt in town
some piles of snow
in the park
creek running clear
and can see the stones
at the bottom
blue sky background
for the trees
Yesterday, although a cold day, we went to the park again. We walked a short time, and Karl took photos of the creek.
