Light and clouds, after heavy rain in the night, and I am thinking about language. “In the beginning was the Word . . .” from John 1:1 begins our large print chapbook, Quiet Christmas Poetry.

And I recall this old poem. I changed the format for this post, with the Drop Cap letter from the WordPress Editor.

And here is the poem in four lines. I appreciate the ideas of editors and how a poem may best work in a journal. How will the poem work with the journal’s style? And the poem will be a part of the conversation among other poems, written by other poets. I like being able to present poems in different ways here too.
